Reading Practice Probe #5 code 038158

Monday T.L.W. read “Three Wise Guys” p. 670-673. Complete Making Meanings p. 674 and Reading Check (a-d). Note the theme in the work. Imagine: One day a box arrives at your house. You open the card with your family: This box contains anything you want it to be. Your present can be as big as the sky or as small as a grain of sand. It can be exquisite, like a brilliant diamond or exciting, like a brilliant idea. The one rule is that you can only choose once, and you must choose together as a family. Then open and enjoy! Write abou what you wouldd wnat the present to be. Would your familyt agree easily? Would you want different things? Share your thoughts with your classmates on Tuesday. 8.1

Tuesday : T.L.W. write about the box in yesterday’s story. 8.3

Thought for the day:
Success is measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed.
