Tuesday:T.L.W. will begin “Slavery in the Territories. p. 460-462. 1)What was the purpose of the Missouri Compromise? 2) Why did conflict arise over the issue of slavery in the Western Territories? 3)Why was the Free- Soil party founded? 8.1 D, 81.5 spi 8

Wednesday: T.L.W. read and discuss “The Compromise of 1850″ p. 463-466. 1) Why did the slaverly debate erupt again in 1850? 2) What was the impact of the Compormise of 1850? 3) How did Uncle Tom’s Cabin affect attitudes toward slavery? Complete Assessement #2 p. 466 (1-5 and #7) 8.1 D, 8.5 spi 8

Thursday: T.L.W. go over the Assessments 1 and 2 p.462, andp. 466.  Take a grade on completion of work.  8.5 spi. 5

Friday: T.L.W. complete 16- 1 & 2 quiz. View a film on a Civil War battle. 8.1 D, 8.5 spi. 13, 14

In studying History, you will need to analyze photographs. They are valuable primary sources. Evaluate them for accuracy and bias. Why might a civil war be the most tragic kind of war?

Tuesday: T.L.W. continue with note taking on overhead work. Continue with reading the novel. Take notes on Parts #4 and #5. 8.1 tpi.20, 23

Wednesday:T.L.W. complete a quiz on section #4 of The Glory Field.
Turn in worksheets on symbols and plot sequence and Conflicts.
8.1 tpi.13,, 14, 15, 17.

Thursday:T.L.W. continue with the novel study. Making Inferences. 8.1 tpi.6, 8.1 tpi 10, 8.1 tpi.12.

Fiday: T.L.W. complete selection test on Part IV of the novel.
Study vocabulary for the test. 8.1.10, 8.1 tpi.12.
