Monday:T.L.W.complete the Mid- Chapt. Practice Test p. 116 (1-15). You will need graph paper this week. Create your own math problems following the 3 examples under Writing Math p. 119. 7.1 tpi.5
Tuesday: T.L.W. add integers. Know the meaning of an additive inverse. Add integers with the same sign, and with different signs p. 120-121 Simplify expressions p. 122. Complete Guided Practice p. 123 (11-42). Complete a Diagnostic /Placement Test.7.1. tpi 6
Wednesday: T.L.W.complete an intervention worksheet on subtracting integers. No homework. 7.1 tpi.2
Thursday:T.L.W. complete skill and concept check p. 130. Practice and Application p. 130 (12-48 even problems). Worksheet provided. Homework: Standardized Test Practice and Mixed Review p. 131 (54-64). 7.1.tpi 1, 5, 6.
Friday: T.L.W. solve problems using the look for a pattern strategy. p. 132-133. 7.1.5
Monday: T.L.W. begine Planet Earth Chapt. #2. p. 17-20. Learn What objects make up the solar system. Waht causes the seasons? What are the 4 parts of the Earth system? Learn the order of the planets from the sun. Discuss the Effects of the Moon and the sun on Tides. Homework; Go to -go.hrw.com Keyword: SG3 CH2 For web sites about planet Earth. Draw the solar system p. 17 and label. 7.3.06, 7.6 spi3
Tuesday: T.L.W.read and discuss Solar Energy and Latitude. Draw the graphic organizer on the layers of the atmosphere. Define: solstice, Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of Capricorn, Artic Circle, and Antarctic Circle and Equator. What is the equinoxes?Homework: Have students research deep-sea vents on Earth called black smokers. Recall recent movies from the SiFi channel that depict the solar system in some way. Compare the portrayals of the scientific topics with what students have learned. What is the accuracy of the filmed versions? Complete worksheet on Hurricanes. 7.3 spi6, 7.3 spi2, 7.3.tpi7

Thursday: T.L.W. have their first Spanish Lesson. Take good notes. Reminder: Spanish counts 15% of the 9 weeks grade. 7.1. tpi 1, tpi 5
Friday: T.L.W. Read Section #2 p. 23-27. Water on Earth. What processes make up the water cycle and how are they connected? How is water distributed on Earth? How does water affect people’s lives? define evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. Discuss the continental shelf and how it slopes gently away from the continents. How do people gain access to groundwater? Explain how water affects people’s lives. Homework: Draw a Sequence of the Water Cycle. 7.6.0.1, 7.2.tpi.1, 7.1. tpi.3
