Monday: T.L.W. continue with Chapt. #3 Lesson 3-6,Multiplying Integers. p.134-137.Key Concept- Multiplying two integers with different signs is negative, Multiplying two integers with the same sign is positive. Practice Application 14-43 p. 136. Homework: p. 137 (50-64). 7.1 tpi. 6
Tuesday: T.L.W. Practice the Skill of Multiplying Integers with worksheet 3-6. 7.1 tpi.6. Tonight invite your parents to the Curriculum/Meet the teacher night from 6:30-8:30. See you there.
Wednesday: T.L.W.divide integers. Key Concept- The quotient of two integers with different signs is negative. The quotient of two integers with the same sign is positive. Practice and Application p. 140 -141(11-36). 7.1 tpi 6.
Thursday: T.L.W. complete worksheet 3-7 and p. 161. 7.1 tpi6. Homework: Go back over any problems that you have had dividing integers–See your graded work. Practice with the Chapter Review.
Friday: T.L.W. complete Study Guide and Review of Chapt. #3 p. 142-144.
Homework: Study for Chapt. 3 Test. see p. 145 Practice Test. 7.1 tpi1-6.
Geography
Monday: T.L.W. continue with the study of Volcanoes and The Ring of Fire with worksheet Critical Thinking p. 3,4, and 5. Define Section #3 Vocabulary words and discuss Plate Tectonics. p. 28-29.7.3.06, 7.5 tpi2
Tuesday: T.L.W.Discuss Secondary Landforms p. 31-33. Answer the questions on Section #3 Review. Complete the Cause and Effect chart p. 33. Thinking Critically p. 34 (1-6). Draw the Map of the World p. 35 and label the Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of Capricorn, Equator, Arctic Circle, Antarctic Circle, North Pole and South Pole.7.5 tpi 1, 7.3.03
Wednesday:T.L.W. complete Chapt. #2 Test. Define : weather, climate, greenhouse effect, air pressure, front, currents. Project: This week save the weather report for the next 7 days from the newspaper, or from the internet and display it on a poster board. See p. 39. Due: Sept. 7th.7.3 spi.14
Thursday: T.L.W.Read the text from p. 36-41 and complete Section #1 Review p. 41. Complete the Graphic Organizer on Wind and Air Pressure Belts. 7.3 spi13,14
Friday; T.L.W. complete the Case Study on Hurricanes p. 42-43. Make a Chart of the Types of Climates in Each Latitude. Learn the chart. What is the most comfortable climate year round from studying the chart? Class will be divided into groups that will complete Research on Low-Latitude Climates, Dry Climates, Middle Latitude Climates, and High Latitude Climates. We will present findings to the class. Try to bring in a picture to show the type of climate you are sharing. You will need to bring art supplies to class. 7.311,7.3.14
