Monday: T.L.W. read and interpret scatter plots or scatter grams. p. 60-61. Collect data on # of siblings the class has. Lesson: Making Predictions. Graph. Worksheet 2-2. 7.2 tpi. 5.

Tuesday: T.L.W. construct and Interpret Line Plotsp. 64-65 (5-11). Define cluster, outlier, and range. Example: Presidents Ages at Time of Innauguration. Homework Standardized Test Practice and Review p. 68 (25-40). wkst. p. 2-3. 7.2 tpi. 5
Wednesday: T.L.W. find the mean, median, and mode of a set of data. Define: measures of Central Tendency, Mean, Median, and Mode. P. 69-72 (10-27) worksheet 2-4. 7.2 tpi.5
Thursday: T.L.W. Mid- chapt. 2 Practice Testp. 74 (1-15). Define : leaf, stem. Demonstrate how to use and read a stem-leaf plot for data. worksheet 2-5. 7.2 tpi. 5
Friday: T.L.W. construct and Interpret Stem and Leaf Plots. p. 76-79 (24-36). Work together 11-23. 7.2 tpi. 5

Geography

Monday: T.L.W. complete Section 1 and 2 Reviews p. 111 and 115.  (1-5)  Define contiguous, Continental Divide, basins, colonies, plantations, annexed, textiles, bilingual. Concepts: We can be more effective citizens if we understand the physical and human geography of our country.  The U.S. is a wealthy and beautiful country.  We need to learn how to appreciate and protect the many advantages our country enjoys. Learning about the ethnic and cultural diversity of the U.S. can help us understand various peoples and cultures in our world.  Presentations of Deforestation Poster Project.
Tuesday: T.L.W. study together the states and capitals of the U.S.  found on p. 104-105.  Fill in a map of the country.  Study for a quiz tonight.
Wednesday: T.L.W. complete a states /capitals test. Describe the history of the U.S. from early settlement to the present and Describe how different groups of people have added to the cultural diversity of our country.  Map Activity #6.

Homework Practice Online- HRW Go site .

Thursday: T.L.W. have Spanish class.

Friday: T.L.W. name the major economic characteristics of the five regions of the U.S. and identify some of the challenges the U.S. faces.  Section #3 Review p. 125. Geography For Life Activity.
