Tuesday: T.L.W. solve problems using the work backward strategy. p. 164-165. Mixed Problem Solving (6-15). 7.1.tpi.2
Wednesday: T.L.W complete worksheet 4-3 p. 195-196 7.1 tpi.2
Thursday: T.L.W.solve two-step equations with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. (168 8-53).7.1 tpi.2
Friday: T.L.W. complete the Mid Chapt. 4 Test after checking p. 170. 7.1 tpi.2
Geography
Monday: T.L.W. check the Ice Hockey worksheet that was given on Friday and then complete Chapt. 7 Main Idea Sheet Section #2 p, 41-42. Write (3) paragraphs explaining where in Canada you might want to live and why. Name a province and describe the geographic, climatic, political, and cultural features that make it attractive to you. Be sure to use standard grammar, sentence, structure, spelling and punctuation.7.3.04
Tuesday: T.L.W. complete the Main Idea Sheet Section #3 p. 43-44. Homework: Reviewing What You Know p. 142 Vocabulary (1-9), Reviewing the Main Idea (1-5), Thinking Critically (1-4). 7.3 spi. 19
Wednesday:T.L.W. complete the Chapt. Tutorial for Chapt. 7. Research the teatime foods that Canadians enjoy for afternoon tea. For example, cucumber sandwiches and small, thick pancakes called crumpets could represent the British. Crusty bread and cheese could stand for French immigrants, Steamed dumplings or egg rolls could respresent the Asian population. Find out what the Indian and Inuit culture might contribute to the afternoon snacks. Study tonight for the test on Chapt. #7. 7.6 tpi.5
Thursday: T.L.W. complete Chapt. 7 Test. Read and discuss about NAFTA and the economy of the Americas. Draw the map p. 145 and answer the questions. 7.2.02.
Friday: T.L.W. view a geographical film on the United States and Canada. 7.3.04, 7.3.09.
