Geography
Feb. 4-8, 2008 
Monday: T.L.W. continue with the study of Northern Europe Section #4 Scandinavia p. 311-315. What are the people and culture of Scandinavia like? What are some important features of each of the region’s countries, plus Greenland, and Lapland? Find Stockholm, Copenhagen and Gulf of Bothnia on a map. Note the Viking Culture. Also note Stave Churches.
Section #4 Review p. 315 (1-5). 7.6 L1
Tuesday: T.L.W. complete Chapt.15 Review p. 316 Vocabulary, Main Ideas, and Thinking Critically 1-5. Hand draw the map p. 317 and label with places from the map activity p. 317. Describe ideas and mechanisms governments develop to meet needs and wants of citizens, regulate territory, manage conflict, and establish order and security. 7.5, 7.4 D
Wednesday: T.L.W. complete Chapt. 15 test. Turn in Map activity and all worksheets from Chapt. 15. Copy the Time line on the life of Dr. Martin L. King. Discuss the importance of Black History Month. Make project assignment. 7.5 L3
Thursday: T.L.W. use the booklets to review Geography Skills for TCAP. Read carefully and work diligently. 7.3
Friday: T.L.W. complete Unit 1 worksheet on Main Ideas and read in the Junior Scholastic Magazine. Integrate multiple points of view to analyze and evaluate contemporary geographic issues. 7.6 D
Math
Feb.4-8,2008 
Monday: T.L.W. check together Mid-Chapt. 10 test from the textbook.
Discuss any problems from last week on Angles, Triangles, Geometric terms, etc. Complete diagnostic math test. 7.3.2,6
Tuesday: T.L.W. continue on with lessons in Chapt. 10. Similar figures and shapes and Translations of shapes. 7.3.1,5 7.4.2
Wednesday: T.L.W. discuss Tessellations. Tessellation assignments. Bring Art supplies to class. 7.3.1,5 ;4.2
Thursday: T.L..W. complete worksheets on Similar and Translated Shapes. 7.3.1,5;4.2
Friday: T.L.W. find the area of a circle and then complete Chapt. 10 test. 11-6 7.4.7
