Please review this information with your child regarding the guidelines and procedures for my math class. Your child’s cooperation, and participation will help maximize instructional time for all students.

SCS Grading Conduct Scale
A 93-100 E Excellent
B 85-92 S Satisfactory
C 75-84 N Needs Improvement
D 70-74 U Unsatisfactory
F Below 70

Policies and Procedures
1. Enter the classroom quietly, be seated (in assigned seat) and prepare your work area.
2. Keep the isles clear of any clutter.
3. Bring the following materials to math class each day: writing utensils (pencil), textbook, workbook, plenty of notebook paper in a 3 ring binder with 2 dividers.
4. My pencil sharpener is closed during class. Pencils should be sharpened during homeroom. You may use a had held sharpener with a container to catch the shavings.
5. Read the board for assignments and copy these into your agenda book.
6. Be in your seat working on bellwork by the time I leave my post at the classroom door.
7. Raise your hand to speak or get permission to leave your seat.
8. Refrain from disruptive behavior such as speaking out loud, tapping on the desk, ignoring announcements, wadding up paper and talking to classmates during instruction. (Trash should be folded and disposed as you exit the classroom.) No note writing.
9. Record your name, date, class period, and skill in the upper rigfht hand corner of your paper.
10. Two locker breaks for books exchange are scheduled per day. Requests to retrieve forgotten items cannot be honored.
11. Two restroom breaks are scheduled per day. Requests to go at undesignated times cannot be honored. ( A note should be sent to inform me of special circumstances).
12. In the event of an absence for any areason, it is your responsibility to find out what you missed. You will have one day for each day missed to complete missing assignments including quizes and tests. We realize that you have 4 classes and that sometimes you may need an extention to get all work in.(If you are sick at home check the internet web site to see what we are doing that day and if possible have someone pick up your work to work on at home.)
13. You are expected to complete all homework and projects on time. If you choose not to complete the assignment on time, I will not accept it at a later date.
14. Only mathe materials should be on your desk during class time. Should you choose to work on other teacher’s assignments, I will collect them and they will not be returned.
15. Before leaving class, make sure your desk area has been cleared and that all personal items are in your possession.

Homework Policy-
Homework will be given regularly for practice, You will need to review notes given in class regularly. All written homework assignments should show each step with the answer hi-lighted. The assignment is graded for completion. If too much of the work is incorrect, the paper will be returned for you to do over. I will be glad to help any student before school from 7:20-7:45 each morning. After school detention and make up work time will also be provided. All tests and quizes must be completed at school.

All projects will have deadlines with no exceptions.

Classroom rules:
1. Always do your best including being in class on time.
2. Treat everyone with respect, just as you expect others to treat you. Your actions , possessions, or dress cannot cause a problem for anyone else.
3. Raise your hand to be called on or ask your question. Remember to let the teacher complete the instruction before you ask your questions. (Write down any question that you wish to ask at the end of the instruction. Please do not interrupt as this will interfere with other students thought process.)
